    Myriad Supporting The Hunna

    20/11/2025

The atmosphere outside The 1865 last Thursday began under a bitter, wind-howling sky; winter was upon the many fans, bundled together, eagerly awaiting to hear their favourite songs from indie rockers The Hunna. Chatter over who the opener may be? What would they sound like? Spread through the crowd of gathering supporters. Inside the venue, local band Myriad (comprised of lead singer David, guitarist OJ, bassist Jared and drummer Rai) patiently prepared themselves for what would be a truly unforgettable night.

As the doors opened, the frozen fans assigned themselves to their positions. Shortly after, the venue was transformed into a warm hub of excitement and anticipation as Myriad took to the stage. Lead singer David sparked an instant connection, guiding the crowd through a chant to their new single Better Off Without You. The audience joined in chanting the refrain in unison, a cacophony of noise.

Myriad are no stranger to supporting pop icons; the band recently supported American band The Summer Set at Papillion, a soaring set that oozed early 2000s and MySpace nostalgia. However, this set felt like a clear step up. Their tight playing and charisma shone through, earning humongous praise from the audience; they brought the energy and maintained it.

The highlight came when The Hunna gave Myriad a shout-out mid-show, prompting a wave of cheers that rippled through the room and underscored the band’s rising momentum. Despite the cold outside, the energy inside The 1865 was anything but icy. Myriad delivered a memorable performance that left fans eager for what comes next.
